This Halloween I went down to London to watch a new show in the West End, 2:22 A Ghost Story at the Criterion Theatre. After a spooky and chilling two hours, I cannot stop recommending it to everybody I know.

Whether you’re a sceptic or a firm believer, 2:22 A Ghost Story is a truly great show. It is all about whether ghosts are real or not, with four main characters divided over this age-old question.

What Is The Plot of 2:22?

Jenny and Sam have just moved into a new home with their baby. Jenny thinks the house is haunted, especially at 2:22am, but Sam is quick to argue with her. After some rather scary things begin to happen around the house, Jenny and Sam decide to invite two of their friends over for dinner.

The ghost debate comes up and causes some fierce arguments. Eventually, the group decide to stay up until 2:22am, to see whether ghosts are real after all.

2:22 A Ghost Story is currently playing at the Criterion Theatre. It’s the perfect venue for the play because it’s tiny. It really feels like you’re in Jenny and Sam’s home!

The Cast of 2:22 A Ghost Story

The plot itself is incredible and is so well-thought out for theatre. It keeps you guessing, and makes you very suspicious of some of the characters. There are also quite a few jump scares so, if they aren’t your thing, you should bring someone to hide behind!

The cast are rotational, with previous cast mates including Tom Felton, Jake Wood and Lily Allen. The cast I saw were Felix Scott, Laura Whitmore, Tamzin Carroll and Matt Willis. They were brilliant, and really encapsulated the spirit of each character. Everybody feels unique in this play.

If you’re looking for something different to watch with the family this winter, this is the show for you.
