A Hot And Cold Love Wins In The End: Love Island UK 2022 Finale

Eight weeks in the famous villa of love have come to an end and this year’s Love Island UK winners have been crowned.

The Turkish Delight and the Italian Stallion

After quite the chaotic journey in the villa, the nation’s favorites, Davide and Ekin-Su, were crowned the winners of Love Island UK 2022.

Ekinde (the couple’s ship name) were definitely one of the most deserving couples to win this season. Many viewers online compared Ekinde to a married couple with their constant bickering which would turn into passionate love in a matter of minutes. They were so entertaining to watch and seeing their love blossom was nothing short of beautiful.

As a matter of fact, I cried watching their final date.

Over the last few weeks, it was clear that Ekinde were the public’s favorites to win – especially when looking at the reactions on Twitter. With this in mind, Twitter was ecstatic on Monday night after the announcement.

I am so excited to see what the future holds for Ekin-Su and Davide; both in terms of their relationship but also their lives in the spotlight. There are already talks that the couple may be set for their own spin-off show.

As for the other couples in the final, Luca and Gemma were runners-up. Dami and Indiyah placed third and Andrew and Tasha came fourth.

What’s in store for the other couples?

Undoubtedly, the other couples will also be receiving a lot of attention upon leaving the villa. From brand deals, interviews and club appearances, rest assured their calendars will be filled!

As for their love lives, it is always interesting to see which couples survive after the villa. My guesses are that Andrew and Tasha will be the strongest couple out of the finalists (excluding Davide and Ekin-Su) and last a very long time.

While I love Dami and Indiyah together as a couple, I don’t think their relationship will survive the chaos they will experience after leaving the villa. However, I really hope I am proved wrong.

Finally, Luca and Gemma’s relationship is one I think will likely fizzle out soon. The couple seem to be quite happy and in love. On the other hand, the arguments they had in the villa tended to be over very trivial things, usually initiated by an overreaction from Luca. For that reason alone, I think this couple may not last.

With that said, I wish nothing but the best and all the success in the world for all of the Love Island UK finalists.
