Freshered is not just for undergraduates, it’s for Sixth Formers, too.
We know how daunting applying to university can be, so we want to give Year 12 and Year 13 students as much information as possible.
Somewhere near the end of Year 12, you are suddenly expected to know what course you want to do and where. Yet there are a multitude of degree subjects and well over one hundred universities fighting for your attention.
Their websites are helpful…to a point. But there is plenty they don’t say. This is where Freshered comes in.
Here you can discover what it’s really like to study at degree level. You can find out how to tackle Freshers week, what to take to university and what not to. You can find honest answers from current students on a whole range of different topics.
There is information about student finance, how to budget, how to earn money while studying, and plenty more.
And it’s not all serious stuff. Everyone needs distractions, so there is plenty of alternative content if that’s what you need right now.
We built Freshered as a website by students for students. It’s been a long time since I was at university but, as a former Head of Sixth Form, I know this is a vital time for you all.
I hope you’ve found what you’re looking for. But if you haven’t, please let us know, because we want this website to answer all your questions. And once you get to uni, we hope you keep coming back.
