Beauty Dupes for Students on a Budget

Tamzin Meyer January 30, 2022

We have social media to thank for our obsession with staying on trend with the latest beauty products. When TikTok sends something viral, lots of students can be found scrolling through the internet searching for these beauty buys. Looking good doesn’t always have to be expensive though; there are lots of beauty dupes out there that are just as good as the high-end brands if you know where to look.

Soap And Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Plumping Gloss

The Soap And Glory Lip Plumping Gloss comes in various different shades and immediately gets your lips tingling for a fraction of the cost you would pay for high end versions.

Pricing at just £12 this works as a fabulous dupe to the more pricy Too Faced Lip Injection Gloss that comes just short of £30! These products literally do the same thing and have the same end result so it would be foolish not to go for the cheaper dupe!

NYX Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop, Mattifying Powder

This is my favourite drugstore powder at the moment and for good reason! It is so affordable but immediately works wonders to provide and smooth and flawless finish to your makeup.

It will cost you just less than £9 and will be a staple piece of your makeup collection. Being a dupe of the fantastic Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder (this costs £40) it definitely is a makeup hero that won’t break the bank.

Makeup Revolution Brown Pomade

Brow pomades are a must have when it comes to achieving those trending, thick brows but they can be expensive. My go-to is the Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Pomade, putting me back £19 each time.

However, I recently tested the Revolution dupe to my favourite brow product as it is a fantastic substitute, costing me a less pricey £6. This achieves the same results with the same smooth application expected of a high-end product.

Makeup Revolution Satin Kiss Lipstick

If you want a lipstick that has a creamy and smooth application and comes in the most gorgeous shades then look no further than the Revolution Satin Kiss Lipstick, priced at just £8!

This is an alternative to the highly popular Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick (£32) and will give you the same finish. It will become such a staple piece in your makeup collection that is guaranteed to get heads turning!

W7 Bare It All Palette

I was so shocked when I discovered this dupe! The colours and whole design of this W7 Bare It All palette (£4.95) are an exact replica of my favourite Huda Beauty Nude Light palette that costs around £25. The colours are just as pigmented and will do you justice for both day-to-day and night-time make up looks!

I would run not walk to the shops to grab this dupe because, as soon as more people know about this, it is sure to sell out!
