Of course, university is for bettering yourself and getting that degree, but it also sees thousands of students getting into the night life and partying it up. But, sometimes, you may find yourself searching for hangover cures for students online.

Sadly, with big nights out inevitably come big hangovers. From splitting headaches to painful stomachs, hangovers are the awful price we pay for such a fun night out.

While there is no official “cure” for a hangover, here are some remedies you can use to help relieve the symptoms.

Eat Carbs

Carbohydrates help to raise your blood sugar. Drinking alcohol drastically decreases your blood sugar, so it is worth stocking up on some carbs in the morning, or whenever you wake up.

Some people like to have a big full-English to help with the hangover blues as it is stogy and has many different food groups that can help replenish your body.

However, for others, a meal this big can make you feel even worse. So, eating something like oatmeal, vegetables or even rice can be beneficial.

Drink Water

Hangover cures for students don’t need to be overly complicated. Dehydration is a massive contributor to a hangover. Dry mouths are common with hangovers as well, so getting a few big glasses of water down you can really help alleviate some hangover symptoms.

A physician at Huntington Hosptial in California, Mia Mattiolo, MD, says that drinking water in between your alcohol consumption can also help reduce an aggressive hangover.

Get Some Sleep

Sometimes even just getting up can make you feel worse, so there is nothing wrong with taking some time to catch up on the sleep you definitely missed out on.

Being tired can cause headaches and fatigue anyway, so add that to being hungover and you have a horrible mix. Take a few hours to sleep and you may wake up feeling much better.

Hangovers usually subside after about 24 hours anyway, so you could simply wait it out.

Ginger: Using data from animal and test-tube studies, drinking an extract of brown sugar, tangerine and ginger has been found to soften hangover symptoms.

Korean pear: In 2016, it was found that Pyrus pyrifolia, or Korean pear can reduce the amount of alcohol in your blood system.
