As rumours circulate that there will be an I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here All Stars, it seems only right that we go back through some of our favourite campmates.
From terrified tarantula moments, to just plain stupid, campmates have given us everything we wanted and more.
Gillian McKeith, 2010
People may not have known who Gillian McKeith was before (or after) the show, but whilst she was in that Australian camp, she had the whole nation saying her name.
The Scottish health and nutritionist was seemingly terrified of everything.
And we all know by now, if you’re scared of something, don’t tell the British public. Because you can bet that we will vote you to go up against it; that’s just the kind of warm-hearted bunch we are.
So, when we could vote for her, of course we did. Gillian then went on to ‘faint’ just before her live bushtucker trial.
Christopher Biggins, 2007
Actor and TV personality Biggins was very much the underdog of his series, being the oldest campmate there. But he surprised everyone and smashed all his bushtucker trials, going on to win the whole show.
However, it wasn’t his crowning that stuck in people’s minds. It may well be the fact that for one night he cradled a rat unknowingly and ended up throwing it out of his bed.

Joey Essex, 2013
Joey Essex, of The Only Way Is Essex, is not really known for his brains, let’s be honest.
He didn’t really make much of an impression on his series, however it did come to light that, at the age of 23, he didn’t know how to tell the time.
However, this isn’t really that surprising. On an episode of Celebrity Juice, Essex guessed that Jesus’ mother was called ‘Zeesus’.
Gemma Collins, 2014
Anytime the GC is on screen, you know you’re going to get some good TV. Whether you love her or hate her, you can’t deny the talent she has for getting that camera to point her way and stay there.
Whilst she won little to no meals for her camp, she did bring entertainment.
She opened the show by crying after being put on helicopter before even arriving in the jungle. And once she was in there, she, quite dramatically, announced that she probably had malaria.
Lady Colin Campbell, 2015
Lady Colin Campbell, otherwise known as Lady C made waves on her series. She was not necessarily liked, but she spoke her mind and riled off some classic one-liners.
One of her best lines has to be, ‘You arch-hypocrite, a chippy oik with the brains of a pea and the mouth of diarrhoea.’ Whilst rude and childish, you have to admit, she spits some good bars.
