With nine studio albums, 11 number one hits, over 45 millions singles sold worldwide, and her very own talk show, Clarkson is going from strength to strength.

Now, she has announced her tenth album is coming this year. She is also heading to Vegas for a residency between 28 July through 19 August, simply adding to her list of accolades in the music world.

Clarkson explained to the audience of The Kelly Clarkson Show why she titled her new album Chemistry:

“I was trying to find a word that really described the whole thing ‘cause I didn’t want everybody to think I was just coming out with some just like, ‘I’m angry, I’m sad’, like just one or two emotions, you know. This album is definitely the arc of an entire relationship, and a whole relationship shouldn’t be just brought down to one thing. So there’s the good, the bad, and the ugly kind of thing going on in it.”

What Are The Best Kelly Clarkson Songs?

With the news that Clarkson is coming back to the music scene with her new album, Chemistry, it seems only right to take a look back at some of her best songs to date.

Since U Been Gone

This is arguably one of Clarkson’s most famous songs. Everyone from the new Gen Z’s to your grandma will know at least some of the words to this song. Since U Been Gone saw Clarkson breaking the mould of the prim and proper American Idol Southern girl, coming into her womanhood and getting into the grit of relationships.

Since U Been Gone is the ultimate breakup song that make you feel like you can conquer the world rather than weep in your room. Clarkson came out swinging with this single and she hasn’t missed yet.

Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)

Another Clarkson banger comes in the form of this heartbreak turned confidence booster, Stronger. This 2012 song became her third song to top the Billboard Hot 100, which stayed there for three non-consecutive weeks. This stands as her longest-running number-one single on any chart, which is a massive feat.

This song is just a feel good classic that can be belted out at karaoke without fear of missing notes.

A Moment Like This

A Moment Like This was the song that gave Clarkson the crown and title of American Idol. It was released as her first single which came in a number 60 on the Billboard Hot 100, subsequently reaching number one. This broke the record for the biggest jump to number one which was previously held by The Beatles for 38 years.

This song has taken on a life of its own in regards to the world of X Factor and talent shows. In 2006, Leona Lewis won the X Factor with this crowd pleaser.

Additionally, in shows like Britain’s Got Talent, A Moment Like This is frequently used as the background track when talented hopefuls get the break they have been chasing.

The best Kelly Clarkson songs have been dazzling audiences for years and that is set to continue.
