Best Student Discounts To Take Advantage Of Right Now

Maddy Burgess August 9, 2022

If there’s one thing I love about being a student, it’s the discounts. After bills, a food shop and the not-so-occasional night out, there’s never much left in my bank account so I’m thankful for these deals. We rounded up the best of the bunch right now that you need to make use of.

Best Student Discounts

Adobe Creative Cloud

If you’re doing a creative degree such as art or photography, this is a must. But honestly, I would recommend it to anyone. It’s such a good deal.

The software includes more than 50 industry-standard apps for everything you might need. These include Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Lightroom. You will also get 100GB of cloud storage and Adobe Portfolio, an app that makes it easy to create your own portfolio website. It’s the perfect way to sort your life out and get professional before applying for jobs.

Amazon Prime

If you use your student email address to sign up, you get six months free of Amazon Prime. Whether it’s a textbook for university or a last-minute birthday gift, prime allows it to be with you as quickly as possible.

I find it particularly useful for socials at uni. Need a builders outfit or banana costume quickly for a society’s social? Amazon prime is your best friend. After the six months of free access and you start paying, you then get 50% off the membership. It’s a deal worth signing up for while you can.

Clothing brands

It’s always good to check if shops do student discounts before you pay, sometimes it’s not even advertised. Some of my favourite clothing brands for student discounts are:

  • ASOS – 10% discount, occasionally 25%
  • Boohoo – 10% discount
  • Schuch – 10% discount
  • Urban Outfitters – 10% discount
  • Office – 10% discount
  • Superdry – 10% discount
  • Hollister – 10% discount

Food and drink

As students, we end up eating out a lot so these discounts can really come in handy:

  • Ask Italian – Sunday to Thursday you get 20% discount
  • Hello Fresh – 50% off your first box
  • Dominoes – 35% discount
  • Byron Burgers – Sunday to Wednesday you get 30% off
  • Uber Eats – £15 discount on your first order
  • Bills – Sunday to Thursday you get 20% discount
