It is easy to allow yourself to become overwhelmed with schoolwork, social events, daily chores and everything else that comes with being a student. But one thing that can help is a great time management app. These apps are designed to help you organise and schedule your time, so that you can fully focus on one thing at a time.
Todoist
Todoist is arguably the best and most beloved time management app on the market. It was created back in 2007, so developers have had time to move with the times and give clients the features that they want.
There are options on Todoist allowing you to have a personal and professional schedule. This means you can separate your work life tasks from your personal ones, without having to use a different calendar. You can create and track tasks, give tasks to other users and prioritise more important tasks. Having everyone on one calendar means you can take a quick look at it and see everything that is on your plate without stress.
There is a free version of the app, however it has limited features. For around £3, you can get a pro membership which is an upgraded version.

Time Tree
Time Tree is the app that will have you binning any and all other calendars. This allows you to merge all calendars into one, so you can see all your upcoming events, tasks and meetings.
Reviewers of this app note that it is great for large groups, whether families or work groups. You can share events, schedules and even calendars between multiple people, so you can never miss one.
Time Tree is a free app that is compatible with all phones.
Howabout
Howbout is an app that works best for planning social events with friends and family. However, you could also use it for creating study or revision sessions with people in your class.
Unlike other apps, Howabout has only one calendar but includes multiple people’s schedules. You can add as many people as you like, and it will add everyone’s events into the same calendar. Using the colour coordinated calendar, you can then easily see which dates everyone has free, rather than having to keep asking people for random dates that they may be free.
The app is completely free and available on both Android and iOS.
Forest
Sometimes it can be hard to keep your concentration on a task, especially when your phone is buzzing with your friends sending funny TikTok’s or texting you about how they haven’t done the work either.
Forest helps you take away this component by not allowing you to use your phone. You can set a timer between 10 minutes and two hours and during that time, the app grows you a virtual tree. The more time you spend on your work, the bigger the tree and soon enough you will have your own little forest, hence the name.
Forest is free and available on both phone and desktop devices.
