Sometimes nothing can beat those fruity and tasty cocktails. Tthe only issue is how expensive they can be. As a student, having a cocktail-making evening can be a great way to bond with your house, as well as doing a fun activity while saving money. Here are some of my favourite recipes that have been tried and tested for a tasty drink and a good evening making them.
This is one of my absolute favourite cocktails to order on holiday. With summer coming up, being able to make these with your friends as you sit in the sun will make your upcoming break that much better.
This recipe only includes four ingredients. They are frozen strawberry’s that you blend, a splash of white rum (or however much you fancy), a dash of lime, and then a spoonful of sugar. This, topped with some strawberries, will make for a refreshing and deliciously fruity drink. This is the equivalent of an adult slush puppy and certainly won’t disappoint.
If you wish to feel like one of the main characters from Sex and the City, this drink is 100% the one for you. With only three ingredients, this drink can be a quick and chill vibe for those dinner parties or casual movie nights in. The ingredients are citrus vodka, cranberry juice and Cointreau. Served in a tall glass, this will make you feel like the main character in your very own movie.
For special occasions, such as a birthday breakfast at university, it’s worth making these moments special by creating your own variation of this cocktail.
A Bellini is that step further than a bucks fizz and can really kick your day off with a tasty, refreshing, enjoyable drink. This drink only requires two parts, allowing those on a budget to favour this above the rest. This recipe includes half a glass of sparkling wine, poured onto a peach puree placed in the bottom of a champagne-styled flute. This can allow you to have one of the tastiest fruit cocktails in just a few minutes.
These are just some of my favourite and easy-to-make drinks from the comfort of your university home. Just because you are on a budget doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy a cocktail evening with your friends, and knowing these easy recipes will ensure you don’t miss out.
