Elon Musk has challenged Vladimir Putin to ‘single combat’ via Russian posts on Twitter with the winner getting Ukraine.
This ‘challenge’ comes after a spate of bizarre Tweets on the 50-year-old SpaceX owner’s account today, Monday March 14.
Musk Challenges Putin
The Tesla owner took to Twitter to say: ‘I hearby challenge Vladimir Putin [in Russian] to single combat. Stakes are Ukraine [In Russian].’ His next tweet, completely in Russian said: ”Do you agree to this fight?’ – along with tagging the Kremlin’s official Twitter account.
Before his odd challenge to the Russian president he posted a meme of a character from the Netflix show Narcos sitting on a porch swing that reads: ‘Netflix waiting for the war to end to make a movie about a black Ukraine guy falls in love with a transgender Russian soldier.’
Earlier on Monday, he also posted the cryptic message, ‘There is a beauty to the biological substrate.’
Then an hour before the challenge he wrote ‘By the pricking of my thumbs’, an apparent reference to Macbeth – a line that is followed by the phrase ‘something wicked this way comes’.
Musk Takes On Russia
This isn’t the first time the billionaire has spoken or acted against Russian in the war – just two days after Russia invaded the country, the Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov asked SpaceX CEO Elon Musk for help directly on Twitter.
“While you try to colonize Mars — Russia try to occupy Ukraine!’ Mr Fedorov wrote. ‘We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and to address sane Russians to stand.’
Then it was was recently announced SpaceX sent a shipment of of Starlink terminals to Ukraine, prompting thanks from the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter.
In a tweet on Wednesday, March 9, he said: ‘Received the second shipment of Starlink stations! @elonmusk keeps his word! Thank you for supporting Ukraine and peace in the entire world! @OMarkarova thanks!’
