Snacks

There’s nothing worse than realizing you have an empty stomach midway through a lecture, lab or seminar. Not only does it make it harder to focus, but you always. find yourself wondering — does everyone else hear my stomach growling? Bring some snacks to eat before or after classes to prevent this from happening.

Hand Sanitizer

If you’re going to be eating snacks, you’ll want to be able to clean your hands afterwards so you can continue note taking. However, you might not want to take a trip to the bathroom just for that. So instead, bring a small hand sanitizer with you. It’s a quick and easy way to keep your hands clean and help prevent you from picking up a cold

Chapstick

Nobody wants crusty, dry lips. If you’re out and about with chapped lips, it can become a total distraction. Bring a tube of chapstick with you to keep your lips hydrated and happy.

Notebook

Many students take notes digitally, but having a notebook or diary with you can come in handy regardless. Use it to take class notes, jot down things you want to remember, or keep a quotes log with your friends. That way, if something comes to mind at random points during the day, you can pull out your notebook instead of having to drag out your bulky laptop.

Student ID

Another one of the essential items to pack in your uni bag is your student ID. You don’t always need your student ID with you, but you won’t want to be without it when you do need it. In some cases, you’ll need it to get into certain uni buildings. Or, it may come in handy when you want to get a student discount when you’re out shopping. Either way, it never hurts to have it with you.

Water Bottle

It’s easy to not realize you’re getting dehydrated, but once that headache sets in you might be done for the whole day. To keep this from happening, bring along a reusable water bottle to drink from throughout the day.
