Last week it was announced that Season 4 of the Netflix series ‘YOU’ will be dropping in February next year. Not only this, we also got a brand new trailer to sink our teeth into and Twitter went crazy.
What will happen in Season 4 of You?
The crime-drama series is based on the novel of the same name by author Caroline Kepnes and has been popular since its release back in 2018.
Fans were wondering where the storyline would go after *spoiler alert*, the death of Joe’s wife Love in the Season 3 finale. It had all been about Joe and Love and their crazy backwards marriage, so what’s next for Netflix’s favourite psychopath?
Professor Jonathan Moore
From the looks of the trailer, this year Joe (Penn Badgely) will be focussing on “instruction and academia” as he reinvents himself as college professor, Jonathan Moore. Is there anything they can’t do with this character?
As well as introducing the setting, the trailer also introduces a brand new cast of characters who we’ll get to know when the series drops next year.
The Release Date
The show will be in two parts, with the first half dropping on February 10 and the second in March 10. According to producer Sera Gamble, fans will need a whole month to process everything that goes down in part one.
Who is in You Season 4?
According to Radio Times, the cast is as follows:
- Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg
- Tati Gabrielle as Marienne Bellamy
- Lukas Gage as Adam
- Charlotte Ritchie as Kate
- Tilly Keeper as Lady Phoebe
- Amy Leigh Hickman as Nadia
- Ed Speleers as Rhys

- Stephen Hagan as Malcolm
- Ben Wiggins as Roald

Uncharted star Tati Gabrielle is back as Marienne Bellamy, the librarian Joe was obsessed with last season. Will he finally get what he wants this time? It will be interesting to see Marienne back but in a new setting.
Notably joining the cast is Lukas Gage, who played Tyler on the HBO show Euphoria. He’ll be joining the cast as a series regular called Adam.
Victoria Pederetti, who plays the iconic Love Quinn, will not be returning thanks to last season’s storyline. Although in Instagram comments some fans are hopeful she will return from the grave like Joe’s ex Candace did. I guess we’ll have to watch to find out.
