Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
The Rings of Power is an epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and takes viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.

The latest episode takes the turn to explain to audiences how Mordor and Mount Doom – where the Fellowship, then Frodo and Sam, were headed – came into being.
The victory Galadriel and the Southlanders had tried so hard for is cut short as the volcano erupts turning what was a beautiful grassland into the devastated lands of Mordor – any keen fan could tell that from the map.
But with the mention of Mount Doom – the place the One Ring was born and the other rings of power (the reason for this series) – it has people wondering where is Sauron and which character turns out to be him.
Sauron in Rings of Power
Fans have now taken to Twitter to share funny comments and memes about how confused and eager they are about which character could actually be the elusive evil Sauron.
Some fans are convinced, however, that Halbrand is actually Sauron, or at least the Witch King and leader of the Black Riders later on.
