In the trailer it shows Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth for the ninth time, living a life of peace and trying to figure out who he is as he says ‘my superhero-ing days are over’ while wrapping up his stint with the Guardians Of The Galaxy gang.

However, the Guardians are with him on his latest adventure before panning to the final moment of the trailer as Thor looks shocked as a hand reaches up to grab Mjolnir before the camera pans down to reveal it’s Portman’s Jane Foster wielding the hammer.

As awesome as the trailer was one thing fans couldn’t get over was just how ripped Portman was in her short scene and many took to Twitter to express their amazement.

Natalie Portman’s Thor Workout

It seems only fair to praise the Star Wars actor for her amazing transformation as she spent a solid four months training for the role, she told Vanity Fair.

She told the publication: ‘It was really fun. I worked with a trainer, Naomi Pendergast, for, I think it was, four months before shooting, and then obviously all the way through filming.’

Portman went on to explain her workouts were based on ‘heavyweight training’ that was completely new to her.

‘We did a lot of weight training and a lot of protein shakes—heavyweight training that I haven’t ever done before. Of course, I’ve never really aimed to get bulky,’ she added. ‘It was very physical, so it was a lot of both agility work and also strength work.’
