Fans have said they are “pumped’ for the upcoming Netflix movie White Noise which is starring Greta Gerwig and Adam Driver.
The movie, which premieres on the streaming site on December 30, is said to be “hilarious and horrifying” all in one, as Don Cheadle and Raffey Cassidy also star.

White Noise is based on Don DeLillo’s award-winning 1985 novel, of the same name, which covers the topics of consumerism, media, celebrity, toxic clouds, health scares, and the human fascination with death.
The movie is set in and around a thriving Midwestern college campus in the early 1980s where Adam Driver (Star Wars) plays one of its most valued staff members, JAK “Jack” Gladney, who teaches “advanced Nazism” – no, really – but, he can’t actually speak German.
He would seemingly have an idyllic marriage as he’s in love with his wife Babette, played by Greta Gerwig (20th Century Women), and the pair have four intelligent children.
Things take a turn when a lorry of highly toxic chemicals explodes near their town which creates an apocalyptic black cloud in the sky.
Netflix says: ‘At once hilarious and horrifying, lyrical and absurd, ordinary and apocalyptic, White Noise dramatizes a contemporary American family’s attempts to deal with the mundane conflicts of everyday life while grappling with the universal mysteries of love, death, and the possibility of happiness in an uncertain world.’
Fans ‘pumped’ for White Noise movie
Since the trailer dropped fans have said they’re “pumped” to see the upcoming movie and the director Jack Howard even said it looks “so good”. One fan even made the comment they thought Driver looked like Steve Coogan while in character and another simply pondered how it would compare to the OG book.
