Fans React To The First Episode Of Love Island 2022

At 9pm last night, the nation switched on their TV’s and tuned in to the highly anticipated first episode of Love Island 2022. As we saw the islanders couple up for the first time and get to know each other, fans took tT twitter to share their opinions.

Gemma’s age

One big talking point of last night’s show was Gemma Owen, daughter of footballer Michael Owen, and more importantly her age. Gemma has only just turned 19, making her the show’s youngest ever contestant. Love Island fans had mixed feelings about this, with most being shocked and some even suggesting a minimum age should be implemented. This came after we watched Gemma flirt with 27-year-old Davide, which some people found uncomfortable.

As well as the age issue, fans didn’t take well to Gemma’s attitude as she insulted 23-year-old Luca Bish’s last name, and then told 22-year-old Liam Llewellyn (who she’s coupled up with) not to pick her in a challenge.

Davide the bombshell

Another huge talking point was, of course, the bombshell that was thrown in at the end, 27-year-old Davide Sanclimenti. As he entered the villa and asked “Did someone order an Italian snack?” every girl’s head turned. In tonight’s episode, we’ll see who he chooses to couple up with.

Indiyah’s the favourite

From what I’ve seen on Twitter, a firm fan favourite is 23-year-old Indiyah Polock. She was coupled up with 23-year-old Ikenna Ekwonna and didn’t seem too pleased about it to begin with. He asked her what her type was and she didn’t tell him so he couldn’t “play up to it”. We love that.

That conversation between Luca and Paige

I hope you weren’t watching the show with your parents, as a conversation between Luca and 24-year-old Paige Thorne turned raunchy pretty quickly. One of the first questions he asked her was what her favourite sex position was. I’m not sure the ‘oyster’ is even real??
