Fans on Twitter think James Corden has decided to quit The Late Late Show in order to make more Gavin and Stacey.
Since Corden announced his plans to exit the late night talk show he’s presented since 2015 fans have theorised it’s so he can return to the UK and finish THAT Gavin and Stacey cliff-hanger ending.
Corden To The Show
The 43-year-old comedian, actor, and presenter, announced he would be leaving The Late Late Show in 2023 after eight years at the helm. The Cats star made the announcement during a recording of the CBS network’s show in Los Angeles.
During the recording he said: ‘I never saw [the show] as my final destination and I never want this show to overstay its welcome in any way, I always want to love making it and I really think in a year from now that will be a good time to move on and see what else might be out there.’
Corden also said it was one of ‘the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make.’
According to The Sun Corden and his wife have decided to return to the UK after he finishes on the show to spend time with their families they ‘barely’ see.
The Sun source said: ‘James and Jules have had barely any time to see their families in the UK over the past few years due to his work schedule. Their plan is to try to spend more time in the UK once he finishes The Late Late Show next year.’

Although Corden has racked up numerous acting credits and has become a much-loved presenter in the US, to the Brits he’s likely best known for his work on the BAFTA-winning show Gavin and Stacey.
After Corden said he wants to spend more time with his family in the UK, fans are convinced he’s actually coming back to make more episodes of the hit show – especially after THAT cliff-hanger the writers left fans to grapple with during the Christmas 2019 special – now many have taken to Twitter to share their theories.
