Just about everybody has read this book. A struggling journalist and bisexual narrator recount the life and marriages of a famous Hollywood actress Evelyn Hugo. This historical romance is a tale of ambition, forbidden love and regret. And since we can’t escape this book, why not indulge in it on your holiday?

A slow-burning friends-to-lovers story following the two polar opposites Poppy and Alex. This romantic book offers everything you might expect from the genre: intensity, chemistry and heartfelt connection. It’s dreamy and escapist, a perfect accompaniment for a sunny afternoon.

The Guest List by Lucy Foley

This fun, fast-paced Agatha Christie-Esque thriller is a classic ‘whodunnit’. A creepy island, a wedding and a dead body. You’ll quickly turn the pages trying to figure it out. If you finish it too soon, check out Lucy Foley’s other much loved murder mystery: The Paris Apartment.

Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro

Dystopian, Sci-Fi and futuristic. The Nobel prize-winning author doesn’t disappoint with her eighth novel. It’s a memorable tale with an even more memorable narrator. I never thought I’d feel so much for fictional robots.
