Brittany Broski has had a wild three years. Going from general obscurity, she achieved viral fame as “kombucha girl” and has since used that momentum to make herself a well-known name in the world of online influencers.

Who Is Brittany Broski?

Brittany Tomlinson, professionally known as Brittany Broski is a social media personality from Texas, USA. She rose to fame in August 2019 after a video of her tasting kombucha went viral on TikTok.

Since then, she has made a name for herself outside of the video. She has attended red carpet events, has her own podcast with fellow social media star Sarah Schauer and even met her idol, Harry Styles.

Broski now has 7.2 million followers and over 326 million likes on TikTok alone.

The influencer talked to The New York Times about being known exclusively as the “kombucha girl”.

“Haley [Sharpe] and I talk about it sometimes because she’s the ‘Say So girl’ and I still get called ‘kombucha girl.’ We’re so much more than that, but you can’t really be mad at why you became popular. If that’s how people know you, then that’s how people know you.”

Violating Community Guidelines

In 2022, Broski, along with her roomate and ‘cousin’ Sarah Schauer created a podcast called “Violating Commuinty Guidelines”.

As described by the influencers, the podcast is:

“From firearm sales on Facebook Marketplace to AI Influencers on Instagram to deep fakes on Tiktok and Twitter, this podcast will have you asking “is this allowed?” but more importantly, “is this legal?” Each week you’ll follow these two uncertified experts as they explore the shadowbanned, taboo, or downright weird content you won’t see on your For You Page.”

As well as being on Spotify, Apple Music and other audio streaming services, Broski and Schauer also video the taping of Violating Community Guidelines and upload it to YouTube. The YouTube account for the podcast has 245,000 subscribers and garners an average of 200,000 views each episode.

After the podcast’s success, Broski and Schauer decided to take it on tour of America.
