The Hollywood legend Henry Silva has passed away at the age of 95 and after decades in the industry amassed quite a humble net worth.
Silva, who often made a show at playing a true silver screen villain, died one day before his 96th birthday on September 14, of natural causes at the Motion Picture Picture and Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills, Calif., his son Scott confirmed.

The Brooklyn-born actor rose to prominence in the 1950s and early 1960s alongside other members of the so-called “Rat Pack”.
Although he started acting years earlier, Silva first truly saw his name in light in 1960 when he starred alongside Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Peter Lawford in Ocean’s Eleven – the original movie, not the franchise starting in 2001 with Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
Over the years Silva became kind if type cast as a mobster or gangster actor after starring as one in two episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour as well as taking the lead role in the gangster film Johnny Cool, in 1963.
In the 1980s and 90s he appeared in a series of movies including Alligator, Sharky’s Machine, Escape from the Bronx, and Above The Law, as well as taking on some voice acting roles as the ruthless supervillain Bane in Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures, in 1994 and 1998 respectively.
