Criticisms
Pop Crave tweeted an image of Jamil in a courtroom wearing what looks like a matador costume and a ginger wig.
After this photo was posted, The Good Place actress was hit with many criticisms by people on Twitter. Most people were commenting on the character’s hair choice.
Jamil’s Response
Despite this backlash, in typical Jamil style, she took control of the situation and replied, ‘I accept every ounce of shade here, but in defense of my excellent hair stylist, this is just my hair after a 14-hour stunt day in Atlanta heat.’
One fan apologisde to Jamil for all the hate, saying that she is ‘very talented and deserve[s] nothing but great things.’
Jamil replied, saying that she has no ill wishes to her fanbase and wanted to clarify that, in the context of the show, her outfit and wig do make sense.
She goes on to say that ‘a few people made fun of a photo of me, but literally who cares? It’s a photo. I just didn’t want anyone doing my hairstylist on the show… who works really hard… dirty.’
