Lewis Hamilton Set To Produce New F1 Film

Lewis Hamilton is set to produce an upcoming film based on F1. Now adding producer to his many accolades, the British racing driver will shift gears from F1 to Hollywood soon. There hasn’t been too many details released on the film, but here’s what we know so far.

The film is set to star the decorated Hollywood veteran, Brad Pitt. While his role is not yet entirely clear, it’s said that he will play a retired racing driver. He comes out of retirement to guide a newer driver, while also having one last go at racing himself. Pitt is a fan of F1. He has been at several races, as well as starting the 84th Le Mans 24 Hrs.

Who’s Involved in the Film?

Apple Studios purchased the rights to the film with Joseph Kosinski directing. Kosinski’s most recent success is Top Gun: Maverick, the sequel to the iconic 80s film. With Kosinski at the helm, and Hamilton helping, the film is set for success. With Hamilton’s direction, fans are hoping that the film will offer a realistic portrayal of what being in F1 is like. Rather than focusing on the glitz and glamour of the life of the racing driver, it seems that instead it will focus on the mentality and focus of F1 drivers.

There’s not much more that we know about the film yet, but this isn’t Hamilton’s first time working in Hollywood. The 7x World Champion has made several cameos in movies, aptly, Cars 2 and 3. It’s unknown whether he’ll make a cameo in this upcoming film.

With still over half of the F1 season to go, Hamilton is set to have a busy year. While his focus remains on his F1 career for now, we’ll be keeping an eye out for further information on his upcoming move project!
