Love Island finalist Gemma Owen has denied the circulating rumour she knew Billy Brown before they came on to the ITV show.
The 19-year-old was a runner-up in the show’s 2022 final, with her partner Luca Bish, who had pretty smooth sailing in the show, besides having one rocky patch when Billy showed interest in the dressage rider.

While in the villa Billy flirted with Gemma, but the footballer’s daughter didn’t reciprocate the feelings, however when Billy was kicked out of the villa he claimed she gave him a ‘vibe‘ something that was backed up by another Casa Amor boy Jack Keating – Ronan Keating’s son.
The young Keating told The Daily Star: ‘But those two definitely vibed big time.’
However, Gemma has profusely denied these allegations of a ‘vibe’ and flirting with Billy and when she appeared on the Heart breakfast show with Jamie Theakston and Zoe Hardman, she set the record straight from her side.
She told the presenters: ‘It’s an absolute lie.
‘If you think about it, if there was something more going on then they would’ve shown it. It would’ve been juicy.’

The footballer’s daughter has also been forced to deny rumours she knew Billy before he walked in with the other bombshells of Casa Amor.
When playing ‘Text on the Beach’ with Cosmopolitan she told the publication ‘that is not true’ and set the record straight about her feelings for Luca.
She said: ‘There was a rumour about me and Billy knowing each other before the show, or there was something more [between us] on the show that people didn’t get to see.
‘I’d like to set straight that that is not true. I made it very clear to Billy that it was just a friendship thing and that my eyes were only for Luca.’
Gemma also talked about her future with the 23-year-old former fishmonger saying they’re looking for a ‘base’ up north for them.
‘I think he’s keen to look at an apartment up north, so we can have a base. So yeah, in the near future definitely,’ she explained.
