Former Love Island contestant Indiyah Polack has signed a deal with Boots following fan allegations she was ‘snubbed’ by PLT.
The Love Island runner-up, who finished the competition with her partner Dami Hope, has signed a deal with the high street retailer to become the next Boots Beauty Ambassador.
Love Island’s Indiyah signs Boots deal
The 23-year-old and Boots made a joint announcement on Instagram during which the season 8 contestant said the deal was a “dream come true” due to her “passion and obsession” for beauty. She also thanked fans for their “love and support”.
She said: ‘You guys know beauty is a huge passion and obsession of mine, so becoming a beauty ambassador for Boots is a dream come true.
‘None of this would be possible without all of your love and support, nothing goes unnoticed and I love you all so much!! Can’t wait to get to work on this and share more with you over the next few months.’
Boots also commented on the post saying they are “so excited to make this official”.
Fans accuse PLT of ‘snubbing’ Indiyah
This deal comes after fans accused PLT (Pretty Little Thing) of Snubbing Indiyah when they announced her former co-star, Gemma Owen would be their next brand ambassador.
The daughter of international footballer Michael Owen reportedly signed a six-figure deal with the fast-fashion brand.
However, some fans weren’t too happy with the news after the retailer has previously posted a poll about which contestant would be the perfect ‘PLT doll’, for which Indiyah reportedly received more votes. Fans then accused of just using Indiyah for ‘engagement’.
Neither PLT or Indiyah commented on the situation, but it all seems to have worked out for the best as Indiyah is now set to represent and work with Boots.
