Netflix has just dropped some new posters for Bridgerton season 2 and fans are losing it on social media.

The highly-anticipated raunchy series is returning to the streaming site for its second season in just a few short weeks, on March 25, but to keep fans at bay the streaming site released a whole host of new posters and people are loving it.

In the post Netflix teased: “The secrets of the game are nothing compared to the secrets of the Ton.”

All while the posters show the characters, old and new, playing what would seemingly be innocent games of coquet – but any Bridgerton fan will know that’s simply not the case.

Fans took to Twitter to express their excitement over the new posters – some already deciding their favourite characters from the pictures alone.

One person simply couldn’t keep it in, they seem over the moon with Netflix’s March line up.

Of course, sometimes nothing is quite as exciting as seeing your favourite show get a new furry character – in this case it’s a cute new corgi fans are falling for.

The excitement wasn’t only contained to the fans, many of the cast got on board sharing their anticipation to get the series back on our screens.

Nicola Coughlan who plays Penelope Featherington aka Lady Whistledown – as it was revealed at the end of season one – added her tweet channelling the season’s tagline; ‘love never plays by the rules’.

What we know so far about season 2

Very little has been leaked about the upcoming season but there a few things we do know. Firstly, Rege-Jean Pagé is not returning to the series, according to Town and Country, and this season will not focus on Daphne Bridgerton, but on her brother, Anthony.

This was confirmed when Netflix released a letter from ‘Lady Whistledown’ who announced the second season saying: “This author has been reliably informed that Lord Anthony Bridgerton intends to dominate the social season. I will have my pen ready to report on any and all of his romantic activities.”

From the teaser trailer – which was dropped on Valentine’s Day, of course – it showed Anthony is set to be in a love triangle, and even with Rege-Jean not returning his character’s wife, Daphne (played by Phoebe Dynevor) would be returning alongsie her other brothers, sister Eloise and friends.

Lastly, the trailer showed Penelope (Coughlan) grinning as she writes the latest Whitstledown piece saying: “I’ve been sharpening my knives for all of you.”

Bridgerton season 2 drops on Netflix on March 25.
