Netflix has confirmed the hit series Is It Cake? has been renewed for season two and Mikey Day will be returning to host.
The second season, which currently has no air date, will not only have the SNL star back to host but will have a new line-up of contestants and guest judges, and fans are already losing it.
Is It Cake Returns
Is It Cake? is the hit show where the world’s most talented bakers compete to create hyper-realistic cakes that look exactly like everyday objects. The aim of the game is to fool a panel of judges in order to be in with a chance to win cash.
The winners of each episode receive $5,000 and a chance to win even more money by correctly identifying which display of cash is real and which is cake. It’s absolutely not as easy as it sounds, even for bakers.

The series is based on the YouTube and TikTok trend where people bake realistic cakes and ask followers to guess if it’s cake or the real thing – and there are some amazing tasty fakes out there.
Following its premiere in March, the first season of Is It Cake? spent four weeks on Netflix’s global Top 10 English TV list and reached the Top 10 in TV in 75 countries around the world.
Celebrity judges in the first season included Day’s SNL costar Heidi Gardner, SNL alums Finesse Mitchell and Bobby Moynihan, alongside stars of other Netflix stars such as Karamo Brown (Queer Eye), Fortune Feimster (Yes Day), Chris Witaske (Chicago Party Aunt, Love) and Dan Ahdoot (Cobra Kai, The Crew).
Fans lose it
Although there is no word when the next season will drop on the streaming site, fans are already excited for the show to be coming back – a common theme people are excited about it because their kids love the show.
