Olivia Rodrigo has returned to Disney+ as the trailer drops for Olivia Rodrigo: driving home 2 u (a SOUR film)’.

The multi Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter revealed the trailer on social media yesterday, Thursday March 7, for the upcoming Disney+ Original film set to debut exclusively on the streaming site on March 25.

What we know about ‘Driving Home 2 u’

The movie follows the 19-year-old as she takes audiences on a familiar road trip from Salt Lake City, where she began writing her triple-platinum debut album ‘SOUR’ to Los Angeles.

Along the way, Rodrigo recounts the memories of writing and creating her record-breaking debut album and shares her feelings as a young woman navigating a specific time in her life.

Through new live arrangements of her songs, intimate interviews and never-before-seen footage from the making of the album, audiences will follow her along on a cinematic journey exploring the story of ‘SOUR’.

Who is Olivia Rodrigo

The ‘Traitor’ singer first rose to fame when she was cast as the lead role in the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Rodrigo then released debut single ‘Drivers License’ in 2021 before releasing her multi-award nominated album ‘SOUR’.

Variety dubbed her ‘the Voice of her Generation’ and she sites her influences as Taylor Swift and Lorde – along with saying several times she is Swift’s biggest fan ‘in the whole world’.

The Gen-Z icon is keeping her future endeavours under wraps, but it was confirmed she would be performing live from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. Also confirmed to be performing is Brothers Osborne, BTS, Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow
