Timpson made a huge donation to Ukrainians in need and now people are sharing their positive experiences with the company.
It was announced the UK locksmith made a donation to the DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) to help with the crisis in Ukraine yesterday evening, Wednesday March 9, on behalf of their employees when their National Recruitment Manager for The Timpson Group & Head of the Timpson Foundation, explained their position on Twitter.
This amazing gesture has prompted many people to share their positive and kind experiences with the company – from being given a chance post-prison time to just asking customers how they’re doing, there’s some amazing stories from employees and customers.
One person said the kind customer service provided a ‘bit of brief therapy’.
Another person shared how the company gave them a chance after they went to prison.
Many others just praised the company for their work during lockdown and the staff care.
The company is known for its compassion after it started hiring former prisoners 14-years-ago. In 2008 company CEO James Timpson opened a shoe repair workshop in HMP Liverpool (no key-cutting skills were practised) and since then his company has employed more than 1,500 ex-prisoners.
It was also announced in 2021 the company would pay for any hormone replacement therapy medication for colleagues going through menopause.
In a Tweet Timpson said: ‘Colleagues can claim on expenses their prescription costs when they are recommended HRT.
‘It’s so important that we support our colleagues going through the menopause.’
