Just outside of the city of centre of Cardiff is some beautiful natural scenery and waterfalls that everyone should try to visit if they can.
This is a great way to spend some downtime after finishing an essay, or a specific exam. Instead, of just going to the pub, you can go on a pretty scenic walk, and take a dip in this beautiful natural environment.
Sgwd Yr Eira Waterfall:
This is only 2.1K away from Cardiff and is a rocky pathway yet an enjoyable walk to 4 waterfalls. This is not too difficult to walk but will definitely ensure that you will get your steps in.

Here you can jump off the rocks into a cold and refreshing pool of water, some people jump from the highest cliff of the first waterfall, so definitely give this a try if you are brave enough! but just ensure that it’s deep enough before you commit to jumping.
Henryhyd Falls:
This is located in the Brecon beaks and holds the tallest waterfall in the whole of south wales. This includes a drop of around 90 feet and is a tranquil, enjoyable walk to endure.
This trail has specific signs for what you wish to see and ensures a safe pathway, so you do not get lost on your way back from the top.
I would definably recommend going here if possible as it is a great day trip overall, and make sure you take some snacks and water so you can sit down and enjoy a picnic by the water.
Waterfall Country:
Waterfall Country is the place that people use to describe the cluster of waterfalls in the Vale of Neath and Swansea Valley.
Here you can trail along the path and discover caves, and waterfalls, as well as restaurants and cafes for pit stops and some food.
Overall this walk is reasonably flat and doable for those who are not hikers or amblers. The natural beauty here, once again will not disappoint and will make the best memories for a day trip out.
