Euphoria season two is finally out on HBO Max and it’s all anyone can talk about. The show tells the stories of a group of high school students and addresses a whole range of issues like gender identity, drug addiction, infidelity, and mental health problems. However, a huge part of the show’s charm is the looks, fashion, hair, and make up of the characters and costume designer Heidi Bivens does not come to play.
People all around the world have been holding Euphoria-themed parties, dressing up as the characters, and recreating the make up and hair looks shown on the series. So, without further ado, here is Freshered’s rankings of the top ten looks on Euphoria.
Maddy’s Prom Outfit
Maddy’s looks are consistently flawless and every single thing she wears hits the mark. Her prom look – a sheer matching bedazzled two-piece set – is no exception and, in our eyes, is Maddy’s top outfit of season one. While we are unsure if anyone wearing this would actually be allowed to step into a high school prom in the real world, we are extremely grateful that the school in Euphoria seemingly has no dress code so that Maddy’s ‘fit made it onto our screens.
Maddy’s Carnival Look
Maddy’s carnival outfit, there is no other way to put it, is everything. From the bold purple to the risky silhouette of the trousers, this two-piece embodies everything Maddy is: bold, fearless, and absolutely stunning. Fans of the show clearly feel the same way. When season one was first released, viewers flocked to the internet to grab one of these sets for themselves.
Costume designer Heidi Bivens explained to Entertainment Weekly that the two-piece was originally from I.AM.GIA but was only available in black or white. However, they allowed Bivens to build the look herself in the bold purple colour.
Cassie’s Figure Skating Costume
This look was a bold one for Cassie, and the glitter and heavy eye makeup is something fans would usually expect Maddy or Jules to wear. But Cassie pulls it off. The turquoise of the dress and the feathers shine spectacularly on screen, and the gem stones add that extra bit of flair.
Lexi’s Halloween Costume
Lexi’s Halloween costume is just one of the reasons why she is the most relatable, and perhaps ‘realist’, of all the characters in Euphoria. The costume is absolutely hilarious and is also so well put together we can’t help but applaud her artistry (which is incredibly ironic given that she was dressed up as Bob Ross).
Lexi’s in Season 2 Episode 2
Lexi really comes into her own in season two. Despite the fact that she is getting more screen time and coming into her own (we’re on season two and *hello* what is happening with her and Fez?) Lexi manages to remain true to herself with her style.
Lexi’s fashion choices are preppy and fun. Yet they highlight her maturity and sensible nature which many of the other characters simply do not possess. Our particular favourite from this series so far is Lexi’s red dress with the white collar, worn in season two episode two.

Jules’ Multicolour Look
Jules has one of the most eclectic and interesting styles in the entire show. Fezco perfectly summarises it in the first episode when he tells Rue that Jules came into his store looking ‘all Sailor Moon and s**t.’ A huge part of Jules’ story is her gender identity and, in season one, her outfits represent her femininity as she mostly wears pinks, purples, whites, and lots of skirts and dresses.
This is one of our favourite looks worn by Jules, in part due to the exuberant and iconic eye make up, and it appears in season one episode eight. The bright colours and bold print embodies Jules’ bravery and her being herself completely and unapologetically.
Maddy’s Matching Sets
As you have probably already gathered, we are huge fans of pretty much everything Maddy wears. Throughout the show she can often be seen in matching two pieces, such as her white and multi-coloured Louis Vuitton crop top and skirt, and her denim bralette and matching flared jeans.
Maddy’s outfits are always put together flawlessly and everything matches. This was a choice made by the costume designer very early on. Bivens explained to Fashionista that she built the two-piece looks for the pilot before starting to source as many sets and she and her team could find for the remainder of the season.
Speaking about director Sam Levinson’s opinion on Maddy’s outfits, Bivens said: ‘He said that by the time people had seen the first season, he wanted girls to be able to see someone wearing an outfit on the street and say, ‘Oh, that’s so Maddy.’ I really just try to keep her look strong. We have something she wears to the winter formal that I think is going to excite and surprise a lot of people.’
Jules’ New Year’s Fit
Jules’ New Year’s outfit is incredibly detailed and features the character’s signature layering of different pieces.
In an interview with Vogue, Bivens said: ‘Hunter Schafer is just a joy to work with, and she collaborated with me on her New Year’s look. The combination of the pieces we had put together was something from an earlier fitting before we went down for Covid, but then we talked about having more accessories, so we made the arm sleeves.’
Bivens told Interview Magazine that Schafer made the choker herself and actually sewed the star trim onto a dark green ribbon whilst on set!
Jules’ outfit is made up of a skirt from Orseund Iris, a mesh top by Maroske Peech, and a beaded top from NIHL.
Maddie and Cassie Match
In the trailer for season two of Euphoria, fans get to see a moment where Cassie and Maddy turn up to school in the same outfit. Maddy wears the long-sleeved crop top and flared pants combination in lilac, while Cassie can be seen opting for a bold turquoise colour.
The subtle differences in their styling of the outfit, such as the way Cassie’s top is ruched at the front whereas Maddie’s features a silver ring keeping the top closed, or the different choice in bags, highlights the differences between the two characters.
As Bivens puts it, these are two best friends who are ‘quite opposite,’ so Cassie attempting to embody Maddy’s signature look definitely means there is something else going on here.
