Sheffield's Best First Date Spots

Caitlin Hart August 5, 2022

First dates can be so exciting but also pretty nerve-wracking. Figuring out what to do with your date to make the most of your first impressions can be a tricky task. Luckily for you, we have compiled a list of Sheffield’s top first date spots. From restaurants and bars to more hands-on activities, whatever your dating style is, we have you covered.

Golf Fang

New to Sheffield this year, Golf Fang is one of Sheffield’s most popular date spots. Crazy golf mixed with fun cocktails and amazing food means this venue has everything you could want in a first date. Start off with a drink in the bar and some time to chat with your date before heading to the golf course. You can laugh at each others golf skills and have a game to be focused on if conversation lulls. Truly one of Sheffield’s most fun first date spots, plus they offer a student deal.

Domo

Looking to impress your date with a romantic meal? Look no further than Domo. A Sardinian restraunt in the heart of Kellham Island offering some of the tastiest and authentic food that Sheffield has to offer. From pizza and pasta to steak and seafood, you will find something amazing for even the fussiest of dates.

Firepit Rocks

For a more casual first date setting, West Street’s Firepit Rocks is a great choice. Expect American style burgers and wings and a huge cocktail menu, but Firepit’s main attraction is their game booths. Challenge your date to a few rounds of Mario Kart or Fifa and the ice will be broken in no time.

Ladybower Reservoir

More on the outdoorsy side? The Peak District is right on Sheffield’s door step and makes for a memorable first date. A walk around Ladybower Reservoir offers beautiful sights and plenty of time to chat with your date. Even take a dip if you’re feeling adventurous. Be sure to visit one of the many pubs in the area afterwards for a casual drink or a bite to eat.
