Spotify has paired up with Stranger Things and now you can see what song could pull you out of the Upside Down, should you ever find yourself trapped.
Season four of Netflix’s Stranger Things introduced us to another terrifying villain, in the form of Vecna. He killed three teenagers from Hawkins and then set out to take Max from the gang.
In a genius move, Dustin began playing Max favourite song, Runnning Up That Hill by Kate Bush. Listening to that managed to bring Max out of the Upside Down and out of Vecna’s reach.

Vengaboys to the rescue
Joseph Quinn, who plays the lovable Dungeons & Dragons Hellfire Club leader Eddie Munson, revealed which song would save him from Vecna.
When asked on The Movie Podcast he responded, ‘I’m so far down the rabbit hole with this joke, right. So there’s this Eurotrash band called The Vengaboys, who did this song called We Like To Party.‘
‘So they’ve got this other track, as I couldn’t pick that one. It’s called Up And Down. I was thinking like ‘upside-down, the up-side down’ and then basically I said that, and now I just have to commit to that. It’s a really stupid song. But that’s my Vecna song!’
While this is comical and probably not a true representation of Quinn’s ‘saviour song’ it is a great choice. It is funny to imagine the man who played metalhead Eddie Munson being brought back to reality to the sound of the Vengaboys.
