Taylor Swift will make her debut appearance at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival next month on Saturday, 11 June.
The singer-songwriter will present ‘All Too Well: The Short Film’, which was written, produced and directed by Swift herself. The highly anticipated ten-minute song featured on the re-recording of Swift’s 2012 album ‘Red’, which was released last year.
The film screening will take place at 3pm. ‘A Conversation With Taylor Swift’ will follow, where the singer will discuss her approach to film making.
The 13-minute short film was released in November 2021 and stars Dylan O’Brien (Teen Wolf), Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Shawn Levy (Free Guy) and Taylor herself. Like the song, the film’s narrative follows a broken relationship between two lovers who have a large age gap.

Due to many similarities, the film was thought to be about Swift and ex Jake Gyllenhaal. When O’Brien was asked at the film’s premiere, he responded: ‘No, I don’t think so. My character’s name is Brandon, so that’s all I know about it. It’s just an insightful and random take on a relationship that I don’t think she’s even experienced.’
Following the release of the short film, ‘All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)’ went straight to number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The track, which lasts 10 minutes 13 seconds, was the longest number one since Don McLean’s ‘American Pie’ in 1972, which logs in at 8 minutes 37 seconds.
‘All Too Well: The Short Film’ was shot by Japanese cinematographer Rina Yang on 35mm film. The short film has over 64 million views to date.
The Tribeca Film Festival will be held at the Beacon Theatre in New York and will run from 8-19 June.
