Revision is hard for everyone, so don’t feel alone. You may have developed your own skills on how to revise over the years, but there are now hundreds of apps that can also give you a helping hand.
Take a look at some of these apps and you may find that one of them will help you get through that mountain of revision much quicker.
Revision App
This app lets you create your own flash cards. Whether you need text, audio or video information on the cards, you can add anything you need.
It also comes with hundreds of study tools to help you with your revision if you are struggling.
Forest
Sometimes your phone is the most distracting thing when you are trying to revise.
- STUDY TIPS: How to stay productive when studying
Forest allows you to set a time limit for you to leave your phone alone. While your phone is off, it plants an online tree and once the timer is up, you then have a lovely tree. If you go on your phone whilst the timer is set, your tree dies. You can make your own forest or garden and start to see a representation of your studying time.
You can also use the coins you earn after planting trees in the app to pay for actual trees to be planted.
So, not only can you get your revision done, you can also help the planet.
Remember The Milk
This free app gives you a place to create a list of what you need to get done. It allows you to clearly plan out all of your revisions in an orderly way, making it easier to see what you have left to cover.
If you have multiple Apple or Andriod devices, you can sync the app and its data onto them.
iMindMap
We all remember those tests we took to see what kind of learners we are in school. If you are a visual learner, then this may be the app for you.
Using a sketch tool, iMindMap lets you write, record and create notes as mindmaps, showing your revision content in a clear manner.
You can create multiple mindmaps, allowing for a lot of revision content to be detailed in one place.
Quizlet
Quizlet allows you to make your own flashcards and then creates games for you to play which tests your knowledge of the content on those flashcards.
You can also write questions on one side and answers on the flip side. This allows you to have the opportunity to guess the answers to your own questions before seeing them.
