The Best Cooking Accounts To Follow On TikTok

Add as preferred source on Google

It’s not too hard to get onto #foodtok with the heaps of pasta and competitive cheese pulls that have taken over pretty much everyone’s ‘For You’ pages. However, #cooktok is a completely different ball game. Whether you would consider yourself an avid chef or not, there’s something indescribably captivating about watching the complex process behind delicious dishes. Therefore, I have compiled a list below of my six favourite cooking accounts on TikTok, which you can either study to learn some new recipes or browse through in awe.

@mxriyum

In her TikTok bio, Mariam describes what she does as ‘turning food into art’, and I couldn’t agree more with this statement. Out of all of the accounts on this list, this one is definitely the most aesthetically pleasing. Her doughnuts are glazed perfectly with not a single smudge. There is not a bread roll that doesn’t fall within the hue of golden brown. In fact everything she makes – ranging from the arch of a taco to the round circle of a cake – retains its perfect shape as though it’s some sort of cutout.

@morganhipworth

We have all watched Masterchef at some point in our lives. But rarely are any of us so inspired by it that we decide to actually start cooking ourselves. Nevertheless, Morgan Hipworth, a teenager from Melbourne, bucked that trend by learning all the culinary skills he could in his own kitchen and then selling his creations to local food businesses. He then used the profits from this to set up his own million-dollar baking business named Bistrot Morgan Bakehouse. Hipworth has now amassed over 900k followers on TikTok and posts mouthwatering videos of the treats he sells in his own store.

@nutritiouslydelicia

With a first name that is dangerously close to the word ‘delicious’, Delicia Bale seems as though she was almost destined to be involved in the cooking industry. As a nutrition student at the University of Surrey, Delicia’s recipes are largely health-focused and are great for those days when you want a clean, fresh meal. One of the best things about Delicia’s recipes is that they are super easy to make. So, if you are also a student or just generally in a rush, it’s definitely worth checking out her page. You will find everything from blueberry breakfast muffins to butternut squash and coconut curry on there.

@menwiththepot

Unless you are an avid camper or just generally like wild cooking, Men with the Pot are perhaps not the most pragmatic account to follow. However, there is something warm and enticing about watching this culinary duo – Kris Szymanski and Slawek Kalkraut – roast a hunk of beef on a stick or wash an onion in a babbling brook. Their food is simple – with dishes not veering far from a cut of red meat with potatoes and vegetables – but extremely comforting. They have also released a new cookbook and a range of steel knives, thus expanding their slowly growing empire beyond TikTok.

@letsmunch

Bartek, the man behind the name, is a 25-year-old ex-bartender who learnt how to cook over lockdown. Considering he hasn’t been cooking for long, the meals he creates are spectacular and a key component of everything he makes is spice, whether it be something as mild as sage or a piquant chilli oil. My favourite thing about Bartek’s TikToks are the voiceovers. Not only does he have a unique and soothing accent, he will often sing certain words or rephrase normal terms in his London slang.

@samseats

Sam Way is only 22, yet he is veering on the talents of a professional chef. Known as ‘the cooking guy’ for starting all of his videos with ‘let’s do some cooking’, Sam has managed to gain a following of over 8.5 million followers on TikTok. This is unsurprising given the brand he has established. The fast-paced nature of his content sits over ASMR sounds of chopping and grinding in the kitchen. Sam is also known for the freshness of his ingredients, diving underwater to obtain clams or growing his own vegetables, and the huge variety of cuisines he covers, ranging from Mexican to Korean.
