A Spoonful of Murder by J. M. Hall

If you’re a fan of Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club trilogy, this is the book for you this Halloween! J. M. Hall writes about three retired schoolteachers who become involved in a murder after an ex-colleague dies. In true mystery style, there’s more to this murder than meets the eye. The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling

For those among us who can’t resist a romcom. Even at Halloween! Set in Graves Glen, Gwyn is a happy and settled witch. She runs a coven and a witchcraft shop and also looks after young witches in the town. All is well in the witching world, until Wells Penhallow arrives. He opens a rival magic shop to Gwyn but, in true romcom style, the two end up involved with one another.

If you want to stick with romcoms but need a slight twist, then look no further.
