It sure is a LONG summer for us students, which means that we have plenty of time to read some of the latest and best books on the market (yeah I know, I bet you’ve forgotten what it’s like to read for fun!) Just imagine what it will feel like, with the sun beaming down, catching a tan with a book in your hand! Here are some of the best summer reads for you to achieve just that.
The Spanish Love Deception
The Spanish Love Deception is my FAVE book right now. If you like love stories that are slow-burners, picking up pace as the book goes on, then you will love this! Work colleagues Catalina and Aaron start off despising each other, but find themselves in an unusual situation in which they must pretend to be each other’s dates. As time progresses, it turns out that they actually don’t hate each other as much as they thought they did.
You and Me on Vacation
Another romance for you with this one, this time with two best friends Poppy and Alex. Each summer they go on holiday with each other, gradually becoming closer and closer. On what’s set to be their last ever trip together, this summer, will they realise that what they have with each other is more than friendship? This book combines romance and a much-loved vacation together to create a perfect summer read.
Beach Read
The clue is in the title with this one…Beach Read. Of course it is bound to be a great summer read! It follows the story of January and Gus, two writers who decide to swap genres after struggling from writer’s block. Only one of them believes in true love… well that was until they started writing the story that would change their lives!
We Were Liars
We Were Liars is a young adult page-turner! It follows four friends who are rich and privileged yet are all keeping secrets and telling multiple lies. Nothing is as glamorous as it truly seems as readers uncover the mysteries behind an all too perfect seeming world.
The Catch
If you are into your thrillers then you are bound to love The Catch. The novel follows a scenario in which Abbie introduces her boyfriend to her father. While every father is bound to be protective over his daughter, this time it’s different. Abbie’s father thinks that there’s something really dangerous about her partner, but he’s the only one who can see it.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
Evelyn Hugo is a Hollywood actress who is about to reveal all of the goss about her fabulous life and career, shocking everyone when she tells her story to an unknown reporter, Monique. It is only when Evelyn reveals her story that Monique realises the tragic links of Evelyn’s life to her own.
The Cheat Sheet
Bree is secretly in love with her best friend Nathan and, in a plan to secure financial security, the pair must pretend to be in love for three weeks. Will these three weeks cause Bree to reveal her true love for her bestie and will it highlight Nathan’s own feelings for his friend?
