Companies have decided to create Hot Cross Buns in a variety of different flavours that are sure to tantalise your taste buds. Some of these combinations are out-of-this-world and will have you craving more.
Lemon and White Chocolate
This is when Hot Cross Buns go from being a much loved breakfast creation to a sensational dessert. My mouth is watering just thinking about these lemon and white chocolate flavoured buns!
Masala and Hot Chilli
I never would have thought of this combination! Why not have a savoury snack with chilli and masala flavoured hot cross buns? I’m not sure whether this idea is crazy or a stroke of genius.
Chocolate and Salted Caramel
That’s what I’m talking about. Was there ever a more Heavenly combination than caramel and chocolate? I think not. We know that this combo works, so why not chuck them in a hot cross bun and wait for the magic to happen?
Rhubarb and Custard
I bought some of these and I’m not joking…they are gorgeous! I couldn’t believe that they actually taste exactly like rhubarb and custard. The after-taste is also amazing!
Cheese and Onion
You know what? I think this could work. You could go full on sandwich style and add some butter and cheese and have a perfect savoury snack for lunch.
