The 2022 Oscars nominees gift bag contents has been revealed to be worth £76,000 ($100,000) and people fuming.
The 94th Academy Awards ceremony is nearly upon us, taking place on Sunday, March 27, where the glitz and glam of Hollywood will congregate for the most prestigious event of the year and this year it’s also the 20th anniversary annual ‘Everyone Wins’ nominee gift bag.
What is the nominee gift bag?
When you went to a party as a kid chances are you’d come home with a party bag full of little sweets, a piece of cake, maybe even a little toy – well, this is like that except a hell of a lot better and worth tens of thousands more.
In fact this year the gift bag is worth a whopping £76,000, according to the Robb Report, and it means even though not everyone can walk away with a trophy they won’t walk away empty handed.
The collection of celebratory prizes is not associated with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences or the Oscars but is given to each of the nominees in the Best Actor and Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Actress and Best Director categories.
Hollywood Stars To Lord And Lady
In the bags this year is likely a gift not many of the stars will have – a gift-sized plot of land in Scotland from Highland Titles. The present allows the recipient to directly contribute to the establishment of nature reserves in the country and also makes them a Laird, Lord or Lady of Glencoe.
But the nominees won’t be confined to their own piece of land, the gift bag also includes an all-inclusive stay at Turin Castle in Scotland, complete with butler service, according to the outlet.
Nominees will also receive some luxury products, including a ‘year’s supply’ of cosmetic brand Oxygenetix’s Oxygenating Foundation, and a box of products from skincare brand Byroe worth more than $365 (£277), according to the DailyMail.
Or, for when make up just won’t cut it the nominees could always just take advantage of The Celebrity Arms liposuction treatment at Art Lipo, which is reportedly worth an enormous $9,500 (£7,200) to $15,000 (£11,400).
The gift bag also include a range of edible gifts, including Ariti extra virgin olive oil infused with edible gold flakes, $72 (£55) Manuka honey, Posh Pretzels, and a pairing of S Pellegrino Natural Sparkling Mineral Water and a bottle of Tolani Al Passo 2018 Chianti Classico. You know, all those things you find on your local supermarket shelves.
