It’s that time again!
Strictly Come Dancing is back and better than ever. Here is the complete cast for the new season.
Helen Skelton
Most known for presenting on Blue Peter for five years between 2008 and 2013. She also began presenting on Countryfile in 2008 and continues the job to this day.
Skelton has taken part in other celebrity shows such as Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. She was also part of the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special in 2012.
James Bye
Bye is best known for appearing in EastEnders as Martin Fowler.
When talking about his Strictly Come Dancing role, Bye said ‘I feel so honoured to be part of such an amazing show and incredibe group of people and I can’t wait to get started!’
Hamza Yassin
Yassin is a wildlife cameraman who has appeared on Countryfile and presents on BBC’s Animal Park. To younger viewers, Yassin is known as Ranger Hamza from CBeebies show Let’s Go For A Walk.
Regarding Strictly Come Dancing Yassin said, ‘My dance skills are currently at the level of ‘1970s disco vibe’ but I’m ready to work hard and will be shaking it every time I get the chance; shake it ‘til you make it!’
Fleur East
This singer-songwriter is best known for coming in second on series 11 of The X Factor. Her 2015 single ’Sax’ made it to number three on the UK singles chart.
She has gone on to host Hits Radio Breakfast show and also appeared on several series of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
Tony Adams MBE
Adams has a football career that spans some 30 years. He played for Arsenal and England, captaining both teams.
He remains the only English player to captain the team to three top flight titles over three decades.
Molly Rainford
Rainford appeared on Britain’s Got Talent when she was 11, finding success with her rendition of Ave Maria.
She may be best known as the star of the CBBC series Nova Jones.
Writing about the Strictly Come Dancing on Instagram she said, ‘I already know it’s gonna be an experience of a lifetime.’
Ellie Taylor
Comedian, writer and actor Taylor has appeared on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and co-hosts The Great Pottery Throw Down.
She is also part of the Ted Lasso universe on Apple+.
Matt Goss
For the last 10 yeas, Goss, Bros singer, has had a record breaking residency on the Las Vegas strip. His documentary After the Screaming Stops, was nominated for three Baftas, with one win.
He is set to play the lead role in Cobbler Killer Stranger, a psychological thriller.
Tyler West
West began his career on CBBC and moved on to present shows such as Blue Peter and KickAbout. He now also hosts a show on KISS radio.
Jayde Adams
Adams is best known as a comedian. She has won several awards for her shows, including Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe.
She also stars in the two-Bafta-winnig comedy Alma’s Not Normal and is co-creator of ITV2’s upcoming series Ruby Speaking.
Ellie Simmonds
Simmonds is best known as a gold-medal winning Paralympic swimmer.
When talking on Five LIve’s Breakfast show about joining the Strictly Come Dancing cast, she said ‘I’m counting down the minutes until it starts; learning to dance, meeting my partner and everyone else involved in the show. Plus wearing the sequins and all that, it’s going to be a blast.’
Kaye Adams
This Scottish presenter is best known for being one of the ladies on Loose Women.
She is a self-professed bad dancer and said ‘I wanted to make the last year of my fifties memorable and I can’t think of a better way of doing it than showing the world my two left feet.’
Ritchie Anderson
Anderson is a BBC Radio 2 presenter, former footballer and broadcaster on The One Show.
He will be taking part in a same-sex coupling on the show, following John Whaite from the previous series.
Will Mellor
One of Mellor’s most famous roles is Gaz Wilkinson in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.
The actor has made apperances on shows such as Broadchurch, Line of Duty and Hollyoaks.
Kym Marsh
Marsh is best known for laying Michelle Connor on Coronation Street from 2006 to 2019.
Since then, she has co-presented Morning Live and has been confirmed to join the revival cast of Waterloo Road.
