A third of Brits say getting a kebab is the best part of a night out in the UK, a Malibu Rum survey revealed.

Malibu released today, October 11, survey results which reveal the top 15 best things about a “quintessentially British night out” as part of it’s “Good Vibes Only” campaign – including making friends with the bouncer, doner kebabs, getting ready with all your friends and hitting the dance floor when your favourite tune drops.

Best Part of a night out in the UK

According to the survey results, a third of Brits (30%) insisted that a late-night doner kebab is essential to a great night out in the UK.

As many as 35% agree that the “getting ready with mates” part is just as fun as the pub or club while having a “deep and meaningful” natter in the taxi is the best part to almost a quarter surveyed (23%).

38% said running to the dancefloor the moment “your” song drops (we all have one) is the best and the same amount said feeling “fab” in a new outfit makes it a great night.

Laughing till your sides hurt (47%), and having a laugh with the bouncer (16%) all made the list, as did the walk home with your crew (20%) and having a decent wingman/woman (14%).

The most wholesome, and top of the list, is “spending quality time with your friends” which had 52% behind it.

‘Good Vibes Only’ Campaign

The research was conducted by Malibu as part of its #GoodVibesOnly campaign, which teams up with TV stars Joey Essex and Olivia Attwood, to spread awareness of how young people can stay safe as they start university life.

Malibu’s ethos is around Doing Whatever Tastes Good, living in the moment and enjoying life to its fullest, but at the same time feeling comfortable and being safe, whilst having fun.

Joey Essex said: ‘There’s nothing more I enjoy than a night out with friends, and when Malibu came calling to ask Olivia and I to be part of its campaign, we jumped at the chance. It is so important for young people to stay safe as they enjoy nights out.’
