After a long day of revision, writing an essay, or work, finding a way to relax is extremely important. With podcasts, you can put in your headphones and go on a long walk to enjoy some relaxation outside, while also being entertained by the variety of podcasts available.
These range from comedy, crime, nature, and politics. Here are three highly recommended podcasts that I listen to. They are very different ranges, so make sure to see what one takes your fancy and give it a try.
David Dobrik and Jason Nash: Views
This is a podcast created by the YouTuber David Dobrik alongside his co-host Jason Nash. These two are part of the YouTube group the ‘Vlog Squad’.
This podcast airs weekly. Alongside some of their friends, the duo talk about the events that they have been through in the week. This always entails some funny anecdote from the exciting lives of these YouTube stars.
Their fame rose quickly and dramatically, yet this group seem somewhat grounded and still excited by the little things that they share in their life.
However, their wealth means their stories are filled with excitement such as premieres, Coachella, interactions with celebrities, and many stories that will make you enjoy listening to these 40-minute episodes. Listen to unwind and escape the pressures of your daily routine.
Ja’mazing: Chris Lilley
Chris Lilley created the show Summer Heights High, and then the spin-off named Ja’mie Private Schoolgirl. Ja’mie is an upper-class privileged girl who is completely deluded and tapped out from the real world.
This podcast is entirely in character and follows her story as she continues to go through life and expects everything to be handed to her.
This is crude, and completely not politically correct, yet the humour is so similar to Summer Heights High and Ja’mie Private Schoolgirl that, if you liked Lilley’s sketch shows, this podcast is absolutely for you.
The stories are completely ludicrous, accompanied by the obscenity of the script is what many find so entertaining.
The Jo Rogan Experience Podcast
This is the most popular podcast globally and has been purchased by Spotify.
They range from two- to three-hour episodes and he produces around two per week. Rogan brings such variety to these podcasts through his guests. They range from different areas of society and life.
They have been branded as quite motivational podcasts. For example, a man who swam around the UK spoke about what it took for him not to give up. This provides a burst of energy and empowerment to try something to push the limits yourself.
Podcasts are a great way to distress and have some time to yourself to learn something new, explore a different avenue, or listen to some light-hearted comedy. Make sure you investigate some podcasts, and give these three that I’ve suggested a try!
