Here are our top five best smoothie recipes; they can be made with dairy or dairy-free. It’s the perfect summer drink.

Strawberry and Banana
- fresh strawberries
- banana
- Greek yogurt
- milk
Using frozen fruit is a great way to make a smoothie however, If you were to use both frozen strawberries and a frozen banana, you’re likely to end up with a super thick texture. Instead, use fresh strawberries and a frozen banana. Frozen fruit is a good replacement for ice if you don’t want it to become watery.
Mango
As a mango lover myself, the idea of a mango smoothie just makes my mouth water.
- Mangoes: You can use fresh mangoes or frozen, whatever you have to hand.
- Banana: Same as the mangoes, using either fresh or frozen works. However frozen bananas do help with the creaminess of the drink.
- Milk: Any dairy or non-dairy milk
Watermelon
- 1 watermelon, peeled and chopped
- 1 small banana, peeled and sliced
- cold apple juice
Blitz all these together in the blender, with or without ice and enjoy.
Peanut Butter
An obscure taste but something that should be tried. Perfect for a breakfast drink or an afternoon refresher.
- oat milk
- banana, peeled and chopped
- peanut butter
- oats
- pinch of cinnamon
- small handful ice cubes
Berry Smoothie
Frozen berries are a great way of making a healthy smoothie giving you that refreshing taste.
- a bag of mixed frozen berries of your choice
