The Flapper
The Flapper is one of Birmingham’s best independent music venues, coming up from grass-roots. This pub is well-known for being the place to be if you want to listen to rock and alternative music.
The upstairs section is kitted out with classic pub things such as pool tables and pub grub. However, downstairs is where you go to truly let your hair down and rock out.
Students who love this kind of music need to get over to The Flapper and take advantage of the amazing musicians and DJ’s on offer, while also sampling some beer and cocktails.

Be At One
Be At One began its life in London and has now spread further afield to Birmingham. Students can revel in their 2-4-1 happy hour, drinking cocktails such as Porn Star Martini’s and Irish Disco Biscuit’s. There is an extensive menu of cocktails ranging from tequila based to frozen.
The bar also opens until the early hours of the morning, so you need not go anywhere else, this can be your nightclub. There are DJs most nights, playing classic party anthems, so all you need to do is get a drink and hit the dance floor.

Dirty Martini
Much like Be At One, Dirty Martini was established in London and then opened up other sites, Birmingham being its eleventh bar.
This places serves delectable cocktails from, you guessed it, Dirty Martinis, to many other weird and wonderful variations. You can have mango and chilli or even blueberry and lavender, you choose which will best suit your night out.
