Everyone likes a cheeky drink after work, and no-one does this better than students. University students have a lot on their plate, so can we blame them for wanted to go out for a drink (or three) every so often? If you are in the Hull area, here are some of the best student spots and top bars for you to visit.
The Haworth
This local pub is a great stop for students. It is a very short walk from the University of Hull, so you can head there straight from class if you want.
Here you can get some classic pub grub and even stop for breakfast at 10am…if you can wake up early enough. There are no less than six ciders and an equal amount of beer, all at affordable student prices.
There are several TVs located around the pub so you can watch your favourite sporting events. If sport isn’t your thing, you can pick up one of the many board games on offer and get your competitive juices flowing while enjoying a beverage.

Ye Olde Black Boy

There are over 100 spirits to choose from, so if you want to hit the night a little harder, you definitely can. They also serve a wide range of beer, cider and wine, so that there is something for everyone.
There is a train that goes around a 16-meter track above all the table at Ye Olde Black Boy. You can make Jayne’s Train – named after a local woman who passed away – run around the whole pub for only 50p. All the money made from this attraction is donated to Cancer Research.

Lexington Rooftop Bar

The drinks are slightly more expensive, but you definitely get more for your money. With the option of premium cocktails, mocktails, wines, beers and spirits, this is the perfect place for you to go to feel stylish for a night.
If you have a Valentine’s date this year, why not book in for a ‘twilight tipsy’ on the rooftop bar.
