Music festivals are the perfect way for students to make the most of the upcoming summer. You can enjoy some of your favourite bands, socialise, and live life to the fullest in beautiful locations. Not only will you have fun in the moment, but you’ll also have some great memories to look back on in the future. However, if you want to attend a music festival, you’ll have to plan pretty far in advance. Tickets can sell out very quickly, so you’ll want to make sure you make your bookings before it’s too late. Here are some of the top music festivals for students to attend this summer.

Parklife

Located in Heaton Park north of Manchester, Parklife Festival is a pretty big deal — and they’ve got the big names to prove it. Performers for this year include the 1975, Aitch, Fred Again, The Prodigy, Little Simz and the Wu-Tang Clan. Spanning across different genres, there is something for everyone. The event will take place across 9 stages from June 10-11.

For fans of rock and metal music, Download Festival is a great option. This year’s festivities span across four days from June 8-11 and feature two performances from Metallica, as well as Bring Me The Horizon, Slipknot, Ghost, Architects, Halestorm and many more. The festival takes place at Donington Park in the East Midlands. It’s celebrating it’s 20th anniversary this year.

Field Day

Field Day is a one day festival, which makes it perfect for those who aren’t interested in camping overnight. It will take place on August 19th this year at Victoria Park in London. This festival is about everything electronic, and featured artists include Aphex Twin, Bonobo, Arca, Fever Ray, Jayda G, Jon Hopkins and Kelela. Get ready to dance ’till you drop!

Isle Of Wight

Another one of the top festivals for students is Isle of Wight. The Isle of Wight Festival will take place from June 15-18th this year. It has an impressive lineup which includes Pulp, George Ezra, The Chemical Brothers, Robbie Williams, Blondie, and the Manic Street Preachers. This festival dates back 54 years, so it has quite a storied history.

Creamfields

This festival is so massive that it’s divided into two events — Creamfields North and Creamfields South. Creamfields South in Hylands Park will start off the season from May 26th-28th, and Creamfields North will pick up at the end of the season from August 24th to 27th in Daresbury.
