The famous Wordle spin-off Heardle now has a whole new way to play, Heardle Decades and Twitter is losing it for the ‘easier’ game and loving the 80s tunes.
The addictive music guessing game went viral following the Wordle craze and involves guessing a popular song using a small snippet of the introduction.
What is Heardle Decades?
Heardles Decades is a new take on the the original app which has users guys a song by only listening to its intro. But this version is slightly different. And, although it has a similar name it’s not affiliated with Heardle.

If modern music isn’t your thing, Heardle Decades might just be – all the music is from between the 1960s and noughties (2000s).
You simple choose a decade to have a go at then do your best at guessing the song while as hearing as little as it as possible. You can ‘skip’ a track and opt to reveal more to help you along.
Only one song is released a day for the OG Heardle – which is what makes it all the more addictive – but this is where Heardle Decades is different, the player can have a go at one song from every available decade.
Then if you do well through the decades there’s other game modes to have a go at.
Players of the games have been loving the songs available – especially the 80s tunes – and some have been calling it “easier”.
Decades isn’t the only other ‘Heardle’ game on the market in fact, if you’re insane about a specific celebrity there’s even games dedicated to them.
The 32-year-old singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift, has had Swiftle and Taylor Swift Heardle created in her honour and Swifties are loving it. Previous answers have included ‘Death By A Thousand Cuts’, ‘Cornelia Street’ and ‘Fearless’.
The Muse Heardle has been recognised by the band, and features everything from hit singles and B-sides.
How could Harry Styles not get his own Heardle? The game features songs from all three of his albums, soon to be four. The game recently featured ‘As It Was’. It does not, however, feature any songs from his One Direction days.
And there’s so many more including Doja Cat, 5 Seconds of Summer, and One Direction themed Heardles.
