Some Instagram users are facing issues this Halloween, with a number complaining that their account has been disabled. One wrote on Twitter: ‘Instagram disabled my account without my permission. Does anyone know how to recover it?’
What time did Instagram start glitching?
As reported by DownDetector, issues began at around 13:08 GMT and, at the time of writing, the apparent glitch continues to cause problems for many on the social media platform.
Around a quarter of the 4,000 issues currently reported have come from the UK but it seems that many people around the world are also facing problems.
The glitch is certainly not affecting everyone. However, for those who are faced with a suspended account, it is incredibly frustrating. Instagram has become one of the world’s most used apps and today is not the ideal day for people to be suffering.
Instagram problems on Halloween
If ever there was a day when people want to share their photographs, it is Halloween. So many people will be dressing up and they will be desperate to share their costumes with friends, family and followers alike.
However, it does seem that, for now at least, some are unable to do so.
As reported by the Independent, it does seem that a bug in the system is causing this issue. This has led some online to wonder how they can contact Instagram to hopefully resolve the issue.
