The time to celebrate love is nearly upon is, and what better way to do so than with a delicious cocktail? Ordering cocktails at a bar can be quite pricey, however, so why not make some yourself? These drinks are perfect for any event, whether you’re sharing them with a date, some friends, or just treating yourself. Here are some of the best cocktail recipes to try out for Valentine’s day.

Cosmopolitan

Cosmopolitans were one of the favourite drinks of the 90s so why not bring them back in style for Valentine’s day? Mix vodka, triple sec, lime juice, and cranberry juice in a shaker with ice, and then strain into your cocktail glass. Garnish with orange peel, and it’s ready to go! Done and done.

Passion Fruit Martini

What could be more perfect for Valentine’s day than a passion fruit martini? Sweet, tangy, and delicious, these cocktails are hard to resist. First, cut your passion fruits in half and scoop out one of them into your cocktail shaker. Then, add the syrup, vodka, liqueur and lime juice. Shake the mixture and pour into your glass, then top with the Prosecco.

Strawberry Daiquiri

Another great Valentine’s Day cocktail is the classic strawberry daiquiri. It may be February, but this drink will make you feel like it’s a sunny summer day. Blend your strawberries first, then add your lime juice, rum, syrup and ice. Blend until everything is evenly pureed together, then pour and serve.

Pink Lady

This cocktail is a little unusual, but it’s delicious and completely worth making. Plus, its signature soft pink colour makes it perfect for Valentine’s day. Mix the gin, applejack, lemon juice, grenadine and egg white in a shaker with some ice. Then, pour it out into your glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry. It should come out perfect pink with a layer of foam on top.
